Your vessel will take you to Cuba’s most historic cities, including Santiago de Cuba, Havana, Trinidad, Cienfuegos and María La Gorda, where you will have the unique opportunity to meet with the warm and welcoming people who give this enigmatic country its spark.

Whether it’s a favorite cocktail served on deck, our attentive, intuitive staff, available whenever you need them, or the delicate chocolate on your pillow ensuring sweet dreams, serving you is our pleasure.

All cabins include:  Free Internet & WiFi, 100% Egyptian cotton bedding, personal robes and slippers, top of the line bath amenities that are environmentally sensitive, premium mattresses, in-room electronic safe, individual climate control, LCD flat screen television (satellite), alarm clock, hair dryer, magnifying makeup mirrors, telephone, daily housekeeping and generous closets and under-bed storage.

Our shipboard program over the next two weeks will enhance your cruise and Cuba experience. Day 3

Enjoy another delightful day of cruising as we sail around the eastern tip of the island toward our first port of call. Enriching talks with our shipboard Cuba experts continue along with wonderful meals and breathtaking scenery.

Day 4

Today we begin our first day of exploration in Santiago de Cuba. We’ll start with a visit to the home of Diego Velázquez, one of the most famous painters of the Spanish Golden Age of the 17th century. Now a museum, his home is the oldest standing example of colonial architecture in Cuba. Next we'll take a guided tour of the famous Cathedral of Santiago and the surrounding Parque Cespedez.

After lunch at a local paladar, or family owned restaurant, enjoy the breathtaking views on our tour of San Pedro de la Roca. Built by the Spanish in the 17th century, this massive stone fortress is spectacularly set on a rocky promontory overlooking Santiago de Cuba Bay and is now recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Day 5

Our second day of sightseeing and people-to-people activities in this vibrant town begins with a lesson on the unique heritage of this region, as we visit Santa Ifigenia Cemetery to observe the traditional changing of the guard. Then we'll head to a cultural center to meet with locals who will discuss the mysteries behind one of Cuba’s popular religions, Santería, before enjoying a performance by a local Afro-Cuban dance company. After lunch on board the ship, we'll make our way to Revolution Square and the famous Moncada Barracks. 

Late this afternoon, we continue our voyage along the southern coast.

Day 7

The second half of your cruise starts with a visit to the handsome Colonial-era town of Trinidad, which is also another UNESCO World Heritage Site. We’ll start with a visit to San Isidro de los Destiladeros. This archeological site boasts remains of a local sugar mill, which was the crux of economic stability in the area for decades. Then we'll visit a local pottery house and meet with the owners to learn about the history of this traditional art form in Trinidad. After lunch enjoy a walking tour of Colonial Trinidad, followed by a trip to a local artist's home and art gallery. 

Tonight you’ll enjoy dinner on board the ship then head back on shore for an exclusive musical performance at a cultural center.

Day 8

Today you'll enjoy another day of guided exploration in this beguiling city, beginning with a trip up to the Escambray Mountains, where you'll learn about the unique flora and fauna of one of the most important mountain ranges in the region. You'll also have the opportunity to meet with a local coffee farmer who will share insider's tips on this legendary and delicious part of Cuban culture. This afternoon we'll head to a craft market to meet with local artists and see their creations after enjoying a delicious lunch. Early this evening, the M/V Victory I will set sail again on a westerly course toward Cienfuegos.

Day 9

Recognized for its architectural diversity, Cienfuegos boasts a fine Colonial district and a collection of 20th-century palaces set along the bay. Start the day with a trip to a local farmer's market, followed by a trip to Parque Punta Gorda to get an overview of the area from local experts. Continue with a walking tour of Cienfuegos to learn more about the rich history and culture of this region. After lunch, enjoy a performance and exchange with a local children's group. We’ll wrap up the day with a visit to an artist's studio.

Our ship will be docked here overnight, allowing plenty of time to explore Cienfuegos by night, and possibly sample the region’s cuisine at a popular paladar.

Day 10

On our second day of exploring in Cienfuegos, we’ll take a short drive to meet with locals at Playa Giron, famous site of the Bay of Pigs. After touring the Bay of Pigs Museum, we'll stop for a delicious lunch on our way back to Cienfuegos. Then, we'll get an insider's look at a local theater company and enjoy a special performance. Early this evening, we’ll recommence our cruise, charting a westward course toward our next port of call in Maria La Gorda.

Day 12

This morning, step off in the laid back coastal community of Maria La Gorda to begin your exploration of Guanahacabibes National Park, the largest of Cuba’s six nature reserves. With a local naturalist, you’ll learn about the region’s indigenous species including butterflies, birds, and orchids– some just recently discovered. We'll have time to meet with local residents for a chance to experience another facet of life in this more remote region of Cuba before heading back to the ship.

Day 13

Today finds the M/V Victory I sailing along the western tip of the island. Delight in another day of congenial conversation, fine meals and presentations from our Cuba experts as we head towards the nation's capital city.

Day 14

Our shipboard experts will present a talk on the history and culture of Havana as we sail into the harbor to dock in the heart of the capital. You’ll step off late this morning to explore the cobbled streets of Old Havana with our Cuban guide and meet with residents in the city’s lively town squares. We'll stop for a visit at a hairdressing salon that also acts as a museum, displaying antique tools and art inspired by the trade. After lunch, enjoy a special performance from a local dance company followed by a trip to a craft market to meet with local artists.

Tonight, our ship will be docked in Havana, so you can step off to enjoy a music, dance or theater performance. 

Note: For Feb 22-Mar 9, 2018 departure date, our ship will leave Havana overnight and spend the next day at sea sailing toward Miami.

Day 15

Today, our people-to-people activities continue as we meet residents from all walks of life- including artists, students and working professionals. We’ll sample the fine Cuban cuisine of a privately owned paladar for lunch after visiting Finca Vigia, where Hemingway lived and wrote for nearly 20 years. Then, we'll take a guided tour of a historic cemetery. Late this afternoon, our ship will begin its return voyage to Miami. Enjoy a final gourmet dinner onboard.

Note: For Feb 22-Mar 9, 2018 departure date, this will be a day at sea sailing onward to Miami.

After breakfast, you’ll disembark in the Port of Miami and will be taken to the airport for your homeward flight.
