The currency for foreigners to use in Cuba is the Cuban Convertible Peso (CUC). As of 2004, U.S. Dollars are no longer accepted and can’t be used during your visit. In March 2011, the CUC was re-valued to be equal to the U.S. Dollar at a 1:1 ratio. This exchange rate is subject to change at any time, and for the most up-to-date information, we encourage you to visit www.xe.com.
