It is possible to bring traveler's checks to Cuba. However, they can only be cashed in very specific hotels in Havana. Traveler's checks used in Cuba are not insured, thus losing their primary feature. They are also subject to an additional exchange fee. At this time, we do not advise our participants to rely on traveler's checks as a monetary resource.
